In the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing and the aftermath that has traced the problem largely to foreign students being educated at American colleges, should there be a moratorium on bring foreign students into United States colleges?

  1. No, it was just a few kids, everyone shouldn't be penalized for that.
  2. Yes, it's become too dangerous to bring people here who develop anti-American hatred and use it against us.

There are already enough problems with the amount of people we have in this country, there's no reason to keep letting in more. Lock up the borders and fix the problems that currently exist. Maybe, if we ever get crime under control, we can consider reopening the borders.

The problem is failure of gov't....again.

Liberals love to put their faith in big gov't, but the Tsarnev brothers demonstrate how useless and incompetent our gov't has become as it grows larger and larger.

Now, liberals want to assure us that they can assimilate another 11-20 million law-breaking aliens and that gov't will be able to separate the good from the bad.

If you put your faith in gov't, you will be let down.

"Mixing students from far east countries, with liberal professors/students, is a recipe for trouble"

What a huge load of BS. Obviously you have no idea what goes on at college campuses. The recipe for disaster is the is narrow minded people, who have no idea what the world is about unless it disrupts their supposedly perfect little world

There are several problems to think about here.

Too many foreign students seem to ignor the expiration of their student visas.

The students coming from S. Korea, Japan, Viet Nam, et al, seem to cause very little trouble. Perhaps we should have a moratorium on students from far east countries.

Mixing students from far east countries, with liberal professors/students, is a recipe for trouble, as we have seen in more than just the Boston Bomber case.

Let us remember Lu Lingzi. I work with foreign students, some of the nicest, hardest working people you will ever meet. My hardest working student right now is from Hanoi, go stick that in your pipe and smoke it. This is a sad area filled with hatred and the love of guns. idiots, the lot of you. Most are conservatives, go figure.

Shut down ALL immigration for at least 2 years. After we sort out who is here already, then and only then resume LEGAL immigration

Why am I not surprised that most participants of this poll voted to throw away the baby with the bath water. There is too much paranoia when it comes to foreigners, particularly if they come from the Middle East region...

To pentalize everyone for 1 extreamist is crazy. I do feel there needs to be stricter background checks of both students their families though. If we pentalize everone for 1 students behavior people in Colorado should not be aloud to attend college because a student there shot up a movie theater.

Really, just a yes or no answer for this. How about maybe keep better track of the individuals that do come in this country for educational purposes and when Russia warns you about someone you take it seriously. why punish kids who are legitimately here for education.
