Local roundup: Sock’s Baggett ties school record

Loyalsock outscored Mount Carmel, 60-28, in the final two quarters to defeat the Red Tornadoes, 87-46.

Tommy Baggett tied Colin Kelly’s school-record by netting 10 3-pointers en route to 32 points on the night. Omar Little scored 21 points and Kyle Datres added 10 dimes as Loyalsock improved to 4-1 on the year.

Sam Allen and Matt?Fedorjaka nearly outscored Montoursville themselves as Lewisburg defeated the Warriors, 68-43, on Tuesday.

Allen scored 22 points while Fedorjaka added 20. Allen nearly posted a double-double as well, grabbing down nine rebounds.

Brycen?Mussina led Montoursville with 11 points, including sinking all three of the team’s treys.

Adam?Cole added five assists for Lewisburg.

Maria Morgan scored 29 points, Tiffany Werts added 14 and Bucktail defeated Southern Columbia, 61-51, in girls basketball.

Morgan had four 3-pointers in the team’s win.?Bucktail improves to 5-1 and travels to?Benton on?Saturday.

Ali Hilson scored 21 points, sinking three treys, as Mansfield routed Liberty, 63-26.

Liberty was led by Chelsea Repard’s 8 points.

Mansfield led 19-2 after the first quarter and took a 44-5 lead into the half.

Mary Monoski led Central Mountain with 10 points, but the Wildcats fell to Danville, 47-29.

Even though it would rally late in the game, Montgomery couldn’t overcome a four-point first quarter and lost to Bloomsburg, 43-41.

Sarah Ingerick led the Wellsboro girls team with 14 points in their, 67-27, pounding of Canton.

Montoursville, sparked by a 28 point third quarter, defeated South Williamsport by a final score of 55-17. Kirsten O’Malley scored a career-high 28 points for the Warriors, while Marissa Folk added a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Jensen Dunklin scored 13 points while Emily Lunger added 15 of her own as Athens defeated Cowanesque Valley, 61-13.

The Indians were led by Whitney Early’s five points.

Cowanesque Valley scored just four first-half points, all in the second quarter.

Brooke Swartz posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead Milton to a 52-43 win over Millville.

Maggie Wetzel led the Black Panthers with a team-high 21 points, adding eight boards. Dani Lincoln swiped away five steals and scored 10 points.

Just a week after earning All-Region honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of American, Bucknell juniors Chris Thorsheim and Jesse Klugg were named NSCAA?Scholar All-Americans in recognition.

Thorsheim was a second-team Scholar All-American while Klug was a third-team selection.

Lycoming senior and?Mansfield grad Ethan?Wilston repeated on the NSCAA?All-East Region squad, earning an honorable mention honor.
