Hometown/School: Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny

Scouting report: Rated the No. 1 recruit in Pennsylvania by 247Sports, but oddly enough is just No. 9 in the state by Rivals, which has him as a three-star recruit. That sort of discrepancy is an example of how different recruiting sites can vary greatly. … Also plays wide receiver, which his father played in college before becoming a star defensive player. … Whether cornerback will be his long-term fit at PSU will depend on how big he gets. He could move to safety at some point, or possibly even linebacker if he puts on a lot more weight, as his father has hinted at.

Quotable: “I want to thank God for giving me the ability to continue playing the sport that I love and that my Dad introduced me to before I could talk. I love you Dad. I want to thank my Mom for encouraging me to always finish strong. … To Coach Terry Smith and Head Coach James Franklin, thank you for giving me the opportunity to get a great education and play some good football.” — from his Twitter
