LHU women’s soccer coach Brown resigns

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven University head women’s soccer coach Kathy Brown has announced her resignation from LHU after three successful seasons as the head coach.

Lock Haven finished the 2018 season at 11-5-1 after advancing to the PSAC Tournament for the first time in 12 years and the 11 wins on the season marked the most for the Bald Eagles since 2004. Standout Marah Foltz earned All-American honors after being named the Player of the Year in the region and conference. In all, LHU crowned four All-Conference players in 2018, the most since 2007.

“Please accept my heartfelt thank you for the opportunity to become a part of the LHU family. My time in The Haven has been filled with experiences that will forever bring a smile to my face,” Brown said. “The players, staff, administration, alumnae and local community have shown nothing, but energy and excitement as we worked tirelessly to grow the program in all areas. I value all the lessons I have learned and the wonderful people I have met. I am very proud of the soccer programs achievements, both on and off the field.”
