3 Cutter pitchers shutdown Doubledays

Erik Miller, Junior Tejada and Jose Conopoima combined on the complete-game two-hitter to lift the Williamsport Crosscutters to a 4-0 road win over the Auburn Doubledays Wednesday night.

Miller earned the start and allowed just one hit in four innings with seven strikeouts.

Tejada, who earned the win, pitched the next three innings, allowing just two walks and Conopoima closed out the Cutters win with two innings of one-hit ball.

The Cutters scored two runs each in the fifth and sixth innings as Bryson Stott led an eight-hit team effort with two hits and a run.

Hunter Hearn’s two-run double in the fifth gave Williamsport the 2-0 advantage. D.J. Stewart added a two-run single through the left side to tack on two more runs.

It was the Cutters third nine-inning shutout of the season.
