Local roundup: LHU wrestling signs 7 to team

Lock Haven signed seven wrestlers during the early-signing period. The Bald Eagles signed Tyler Stoltzfus (174 pounds, St. Joseph’s Academy), Tanner Updegraff (157/165, Hershey), Will Betancourt Jr. (133, Manheim Central), DeShawn Farber (149, Nazareth), Killian Delaney (125, W.C. Henderson), Kaleb Snodgrass (285, Van Buren, Ohio) and Billy Talmadge (High Point, Branchville, N.J.).

• In men’s basketball, Bucknell coach Nathan Davis announced the signing of Andre Screen and Deuce Turner. Screen is a 6-foot-11 center from Alexandria, Va., and Turner is a 6-foot-2 combo guard from Coatesvilla, Pa.

“Every year our goal is to identify high-character young men who will become great teammates and valuable members of the Bucknell and Lewisburg communities,” Davis said. “Andre and Deuce certainly fit that mold.”
