Lyco’s Curtis earns honor in college football

Senior Ahmad Curtis picked up the first all-region accolades of his career as the defensive tackle earned a spot on the D3football.com All-East Region second team.

Curtis repeated as a first-team All-MAC selection in 2019 after posting 44 tackles, six for loss, from his defensive tackle position. The 6-foot-1, 340-pounder was able to clog up the middle and keep opponents from running between the tackles throughout the year, as he made five or more tackles in five games. He finished his career with 137 tackles, 16 for loss and five sacks.

Curtis finished his career with 139 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, five sacks and an interception for a touchdown.

He was the first three-time All-MAC defensive lineman since Anthony Marascio from 2009-11. He is the fifth defensive tackle to earn D3Football.com all-region honors and the first since two-time selection Dwight Hentz in 2012-13.

The Warriors finished 4-6 under 12th-year head coach Mike Clark, winning all four games by scoring more than 40 points.
