High school roundup: McKee’s 30 lifts WR girls

Emily McKee scored a career-high 30 points to help propel Warrior Run over Towanda, 64-40, in girls basketball Saturday evening.

Gracy Beachel chipped in 10 points for Warrior Run.

Millville beat Sullivan County, 42-35, and prevented Jessica King from reaching 1,000 career points by holding her to a season-low nine.

Sophia Springman was the only Griffins player to score in double digits as she recorded 10 points. King had a team-high 10 rebounds and Springman added eight and a team-high five assists.

Montoursville fell to Selinsgrove, 50-31. Maddie Adams led the Warriors with 15 points.

Jersey Shore defeated Executive Education Academy Charter School, 46-23. Aubrey Stetts and Brielle Hess led the Bulldogs with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Lourdes broke open a four-point game with an 18-point fourth quarter as it defeated Williamsport, 63-54. Katelyn Wilson scored a team-high 11 points for Williamsport and Sophia Erb added 10.

• In boys basketball, Montoursville defeated  Shamokin, 58-51. Peyton Mussina scored 14 points, Hunter Shearer added 13 and Dillon Young scored 12.

The Warriors (15-4) head to Hughesville on Monday.

Ethan Hartman led Warrior Run with a 20-point performance as the Defenders defeated Southern Columbia, 67-45.

Ahamahd Keyes added 10 points for Warrior Run.

Huntingdon defeated Williamsport, 63-58, in overtime. The Millionaires rallied from a 20-point second-quarter deficit to force overtime. The Millionaires only scored two overtime points though.

James Evans-McQuay led Williamsport with 20 points. Nassir Jones added 10.

Lewisburg beat Shikellamy, 63-36. Nick Shedleski led the Green Dragons with 22 points and Peter Lantz added 12. Cam Michaels scored 11.

Ben Knapp scored 13 points, but he was Canton’s only double-digit scorer as the Warriors lost to Troy, 64-50.

David Hill scored 27 points to help St. John Neumann defeat Benton, 64-45. Malaki Parlante scored 10.
