ROUNDUP: Williamsport boys overcome deficit to win

Williamsport rallied from a 15-point, second-quarter deficit to defeat Susquehanna Township, 73-70, in boys high school basketball. James Evans-McQuay scored a team-high 23 points for the Millionaires, and Kenon Brown added 15.

Jersey Shore was outscored by 14 points in the fourth quarter as it lost to Bellefonte, 64-51. Trevor Gee scored a team-high 24 points for the Bulldogs, and Nate Ewing added 13, but Jersey Shore was outscored, 20-6, in the fourth quarter. Ewing had five steals, Tanner Lorson had five assists and Cayden Hess has seven rebounds for the Bulldogs.

Bucktail’s Gabe Conway led all scorers with 20 points and Liam Dwyer added 17 as the Bucks defeated Galeton, 59-45.

Davion Hill scored 25 points, but St. John Neumann was outscored by 18 points in the first half in a 73-42 loss to Bloomsburg. Adam McGinley led Bloomsburg with 21 points.

• Paisley Nudd hit four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 17 points to lead Cowanesque Valley to a 56-18 win over North Penn-Liberty in girls basketball. The Mounties were held to single digits in each quarter. Kailey Wells had 12 points for the Indians.

Emma Coolidge scored six points in overtime to lead Wellsboro to a 64-57 win over Port Allegany. Coolidge led the Green Hornets’ 11-point outburst in overtime and finished with 17 points. Cathryn Brought went 10 for 11 from the foul line to score a team-high 25 points for Wellsboro.

Riley Fry had a double-double and Faith Persing scored 10 points to help Montgomery seal the win over Midd-West, 42-33. Saige Whipple also had six points and Taylor McRae had 12 rebounds for the Red Raiders.

Allison Diehl scored 13 points and Alexa Rine added 10 as Millville beat Muncy, 52-33. Jessica Dodge also had 12 for the Quakers and Bell Hitesman had 9 for the Indians.

• Returning state champion Nate Schon bumped up to heavyweight and earned a second-period fall over state-ranked Nevin Rauch as Selinsgrove defeated Milton, 58-12, in high school wrestling. Tyler Geiswite picked up a 6-0 win at 106 pounds for the Black Panthers.
