Hughesville student-athlete has negative COVID-19 test
On Thursday, Hughesville superintendent Michael Pawlik verified to the Williamsport Sun-Gazette that a student-athlete on the Hughesville football team had been in contact with someone who had tested positive for COVID-19.
The parents of the student-athlete told the Sun-Gazette through Pawlik that the student’s results came back negative Monday.
Per Hughesville’s Return to Play guidelines — which every school district must have for athletes to begin summer workouts and conditioning — any student-athlete or coach who is potentially exposed to someone who tests positive for the coronavirus must self-quarantine until results come back.
