Football roundup: Muncy scores 42 first-half points in win against CMVT

The Indians scored 42 first-half points and cruised past CMVT at home, 56-24. Branson Eyer had 141 passing yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 37 yards and a score. Ross Eyer (74 yards) and Chase Crawley (75) both led Muncy’s receivers.
CMVT didn’t attempt a pass the entire game, instead running the ball 34 times for 124 yards. Muncy outgained CMVT, 319-124.
The Indians scored 28 points in the second quarrter and Ty Nixon had 92 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
SAYRE 35, COWANESQUE 14
Tucker St. Peter went 10 for 17 for 135 yards and a touchdown, but Cowanesque Valley only mustered two touchdowns in a loss to Sayre.
Cowanesque trailed 14-0 at the half. The Indians trailed the Redskins in total yards, 398-208.
DANVILLE 35, LEWISBURG 14
Danville held just a 14-point lead at halftime, but the Ironmen scored 14 in the third quarter to get some breathing room and held on to win by three scores.
Max Moyers led Lewisburg with 89 rushing yards and a touchdown and Ethan Dominick had 75 rushing yards for the Green Dragons.
Danville was led by K.J. Riley, who threw for 216 yards and two touchdowns and added 56 rushing yards and another two scores.
SHIKELLAMY 14, MILTON 0
Milton struggled offensively against the Braves, accounting for just 90 total yards of offense. Connor Fitzgerald scored on a 38 yard touchdown pass from Drew Balestrini to put Shikellamy ahead, 7-0, in the second quarter. Balestrini then scored on an 11-yard run in the third quarter for the 14-0 lead.
Shikellamy had success on both the ground and the air as the Braves ran for 181 yards on 47 carries and threw for 116 yards, all of which came from Balestrini, who went 7 for 21.
