Logan McGinn, an 8-year-old golfer from South Williamsport, recently placed first in a US Kids Golf Regional championship near Atlantic City at Seaview Golf Club.

He shot an 8-under 64, tied for the lowest score in his age category (Boys 8) in tournament history. His second-round score — a 5-under 31 — was also the lowest score in his age group in tournament history.

McGinn captured his first US Kids Golf Regional championship by beating his best friend, two-time Junior World Champion and defending Seaview Open champion Trebor Melendez from Vineland, New Jersey.
