Bucktail cancels final game of year due to COVID-19

Bucktail’s final scheduled game has been cancelled due to COVID-19 complications.

According to the team’s Facebook page, Bucktail’s game Friday night against Phillipsburg-Osceola will not be played. The Bucks finished the 2020 season with a record of 1-6. The team’s lone win came against CMVT earlier this fall.

Despite fielding just 22 players each Friday night, the Bucks roster accomplished some milestones during their one-win season.

Senior running back and linebacker Gage Sutliff eclipsed the 2,500 career rushing mark in a game earlier this fall and totaled more than 80 tackles this season on the defensive side of the ball. Sutliff posted multiple 100-yard rushing performances this season, including running for 140 in the team’s final game against Curwensville.
