This week we remember 1995 Hall of Fame inductee Frank Kiper. Known as a tough competitor, Kiper showed a lot of talent from the very beginning of his bowling career in 1957 at the age of 39. He rolled twenty-some 700 series, including his career-high of 750. At the age of 88 in 1985, Kiper bowled the second 300 game of his career, making him the oldest local bowler to throw a perfect game up until that time. The following year, he won the Peterson Point Competition at Harvest Moon Lanes. Kiper’s high career average was 199, achieved during the 1974-75 season when only 16 other local bowlers recorded a higher average.

Hope to see you on the lanes.
