The Backyard Brawl scheduled for Friday was postponed to today due to rain. The first two games will be played at 2 p.m.

Montoursville will play against Williamsport at Logue Field and Loyalsock will play at South Williamsport. The championship game will be at Bowman Field at 6 p.m.

Colby Springman threw a three-inning no-hitter and went 2 for 2 with three RBIs as Montgomery blanked Bucktail, 20-0 in three innings. Montgomery scored 11 first-inning runs and had nine hits in two at-bats. Noah Gearhart went 2 for 2 with three runs, Caleb Hall hit a two-run double and Kaide Drick and Thayden Miller each had two RBIs.

Nate Schon hit two home runs and drove in six runs the third and fourth innings, helping Selinsgrove defeat Jersey Shore, 8-1. Jersey Shore was playing its first game in six days and Karter Peacock continued his strong season, hitting a double. Nate Myers was 1 for 1 for Jersey Shore and Gage Martzall and Cayden Hess each went 1 for 2.

• Wellsboro beat Northeast Bradford, 117-7, in a tri-meet, but fell to Wyalusing, 88-60, in girls track and field. Kiyah Boyce won the shot put competition thanks to a throw of 26 feet, 10 inches and Emma Coolidge won for the Hornets in the javelin with a throw of 95-3, winning by 11 feet.

• In boys track and field in a tri-meet, Wellsboro defeated Northeast Bradford, 87-46, and lost to Wyalusing, 77-69. Wellsboro’s Sam Rudy was a two-event winner, claiming victories in the 300 hurdles (45.92) and triple jump (36-7). Jack Poirier won in the 200 in 24.48 and helped the 400 relay team claim victory.

• Lock Haven’s baseball team split with West Chester, winning game one, 7-6, before losing 3-1 in the second contest of a PSAC East doubleheader.

In the first contest, Jake Mastillo went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs and Joe Shannon was 3 for 4 with a triple. Lock Haven and West Chester were tied 1-1 after the first inning before West Chester scored a run in the second and fourth innings to take the lead.

Camden Moors, Issac Porter and Mike O’Halloran each had a hit.

• In men’s track and field, John Davern finished third overall in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and was one of three Lock Haven runners who ran a personal-best in the event on Day 2 of the PSAC Championships. Davern ran a 9:30.78.

Kohen Stover took eighth in the event and Warrior Run grad Hunter Confair finished ninth.

Junior Sean Ringgold and sophomore Christian Tanner led the way for the Mansfield University track and field team on day two of the PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, as both athletes qualified for tomorrow’s finals in the 400-meter dash and 800-meter run, respectively.

Ringgold clocked a PR in the 400-meter dash finishing in 49.40, which gave him the second fastest time going into finals tomorrow. Sophomore Terrence Quaker finished his season, joining Ringgold in the 400-meter dash crossing in 51.03 (12th).

Ringgold was to compete in the 200-meter dash, but after a lightning delay the 200-meter dash will move a timed final today.

• Central Mountain grad Laurel Moyer led the way for Lock Haven’s women’s track and field team on Day 2 of the PSAC Championships by winning the 3,000-meter steeplechase, her second individual title in as many days.
