Williamsport Crosscutters lose on road to State College 6-4

The State College Spikes scored twice in the bottom of the sixth inning to defeat the Williamsport Crosscutters, 6-4, at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on Saturday night.

Williamsport held a brief one-run lead after scoring three runs in the top of the third inning to go ahead, 4-1. State College then scored one in the bottom of the fifth to tie it up, 4-4.

Ramon Bramasco, Robert Marinec, Alec Burns and Freddie Matos all led Williamsport with two hits apiece. Marinec and Burns both had doubles.

Williamsport out-hit State College, 12-9. The Spikes were led by Zacchaeus Rasberry (2 for 3) and Trent Lewis (2 for 3). State College had two-extra base hits — both doubles — by Hylan Hall and Max Guadalupe.

State College had two singles and reached with two walks in the fifth inning which allowed the Spikes to score the game-tying run.

The Crosscutters fall to 19-23-2 with the loss and are in a tie for third place in the MLB Draft League with State College.

Williamsport hosts State College on Sunday at Bowman Field.
