60 area wrestlers earn All-Academic team honors

Sixty area wrestlers have been named to the 2022 All-Academic team, voted on by the District 4 Wrestling Coaches Association.

Montgomery had eight wrestlers listed in Blake Snyder (120), Hunter Leet (126), Caden Finck (138), Conner Harer (145), Bradley Leon (215) Devon Deem (152), Colby Springman (160) and Tanner Springman (160).

Seven wrestlers made the list for Williamsport via Cael Nasdeo (113), Braden Bower (132), Riley Bower (145), Carter Weaver (152), Roman Morrone (160), Sebastian Robinson (189), Charles Crews (285).

Canton has six wrestlers listed, being Cohen Landis (113), Holden Ward (120), Hudson Ward (138), Bailey Ferguson (152), Brennan Taylor (160) and Riley Parker (172).

Branden Wentzel (113), David Kennedy (120), Montoursville (160), Isaac Cory (189) and Cole Yonkin (215) were all selected for Montoursville.

South Williamsport’s five wrestlers to be honored were Kaden Shay (106), Kayvan Shams (113), Sam Persun (132), Landon Lorson (189), Ryan Casella (215).

Lewisburg also had five wrestlers listed with Jace Gessner (106), Kaiden Wagner (145), Chase Wenrich (152), Hagen Persun (160), Derek Shedleski (172).

Brock Weiss (120), Haydn Packer (189), Liam Goodrich (145) and Tyler Bauder (160) are the four Bulldogs to make the list for Jersey Shore. North Penn-Liberty’s four wrestlers are Brayden Pequignot (106), Riley Oakes (113), Gaven Sexauer (189) and George Valentine (215).

Hughesville’s Chase Shaner (106), Kadin Fetterman (126), Caiden Puderbach (132) and Keagan Smith (138) all made the list for the Spartans.

Warrior Run’s Kaden Milheim (126), Samuel Hall (132) and Cameron Milheim (138) all made the list. Scott Johnson (126), Ty Nixon (160) and Austin Johnson (215) were all named for Muncy.

Sullivan County, Williamson and Loyalsock each had two wrestlers selected apiece. Colton Wade (106) and Rocky Finnegan (113) were listed for Sullivan County while Michael Sipps (215) and Kade Sottolano (285) were selected for Williamson. Loyalsock’s Braden Vincenzes (145) and Kaden Rodarmel (152) were also named.
