Golf tip of the week: Make sure to keep moving after impact

A great percentage of golfers have a tendency to stop moving after impact. Finishing the swing is very important for accuracy and power. Think about throwing an object such as a dart or a baseball. All athletic moves require a smooth follow-through.

Keep the right side of your body moving toward the target after impact — or the left side for the left-handed golfer. This will create distance and accuracy.

The body should finish with the shoulders, hips, and knees level, with your weight on the outside of the left foot (right foot for the left-handed golfer).

Balance is very critical, never swing so fast that you lose your balance. Imagine you are standing on ice and you don’t want to slip.

Remember balance will dictate how fast you can swing and create a solid impact.

Don’t forget to enjoy this great game called golf.
