Crosscutters win fourth straight game Wednesday by beating Trenton
The Williamsport Crosscutters beat the Trenton Thunder, 9-1, to extend their winning streak to four in a row on Wednesday night.
Jarret Whorff went seven innings, allowing one run on six hits with five strikeouts. The Crosscutters scored at least one run in the first inning for the fifth straight game against Trenton.
First baseman E.J. Taylor got things started with a two-run single for a 2-0 Crosscutters lead. Catcher Zach Miller and left fielder Nick Hussey hit back-to-back RBI singles and the Crosscutters took a 4-0 lead. Williamsport added more runs for a 6-0 lead from an RBI groundout by left fielder Taylor Jackson and an RBI single by second baseman Connor Denning.
