Four Warriors selected to All-Landmark men’s soccer team

The Landmark Conference selected four athletes from the Lycoming for its 2024 All-Landmark Conference All-Conference Team — junior Christian Woobay and senior Jaeden Asare were first-team selections and sophomore Aidan Stillman and senior Kenny Clapp earned second-team mention — the conference announced on Wednesday.

Woobay finished second in the league in points (26) with ten goals and six assists, and he tied for second in the league in goals and game-winning goals (5), and also finished fifth in assists. The junior, who was a Second Team All-Landmark Conference selection in 2023, is Lycoming’s first first-team all-conference forward since.

Two Warrior midfielders also earned all-conference recognition – Asare earned a spot on the first team and Stillman snagged a place on the second team.

The conference also recognized Asare as a Second Team All-Landmark Conference midfielder in 2023. In 2024 season, Asare notched two goals, helping the team to a tie of the conference’s first-place team, Juniata, and a win over Juniata. He was also a key part of the team’s defense, which pitched eight shutouts and finished second in the league with a 0.841 goals-against average.

Stillman posted four goals and three assists for 11 points on the season to earn his first all-conference honors. Stillman had a game-winning goal against Baldwin-Wallace in the season opener and added an assist in Lycoming’s 1-0 win over Elizabethtown in the regular-season finale, lifting the team to its first win over the Blue Jays in 16 years. He also scored in the Battle of the Boot against Susquehanna and scored in Lycoming’s 2-2 draw with first-place Juniata.

Clapp picked up his third straight second-team all-conference selection, as he was a Second Team All-Landmark Conference defender in 2023 and a Second Team All-MAC Freedom pick in 2022. Although he struggled with an injury early in the season, Clapp posted three goals in 2024, posting the game-winning goal in the Battle of the Boot against Susquehanna.

The Warriors ended the 2024 season with a 10-5-5 overall record and a 4-3-2 Landmark Conference record, finishing the regular season by reaching 10 wins for the third straight season.
