CLEVELAND – Lock Haven men’s wrestling standout Wyatt Henson has been named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Eastern Division Athlete of the Week.

The Bald Eagles opened the season in style Sunday at the Princeton Open, and it was Henson, a redshirt-junior who led the way for Lock Haven.

Ranked No. 28 nationally, Henson – a returning national qualifier – went a perfect 4-0 on the way to the 141-pound title on Sunday.

He opened the day with a pair of tech falls. In the finals, Henson needed just 37 seconds to earn a pin and knock off No. 26 Kai Owen of Columbia for the title in upset-fashion. Overall, three of his four wins came by way of bonus points as he cruised through the bracket.
