Hughesville swimmers see success competing against Danville, Bloomsburg

Competing independently against Danville and Bloomsburg, Hughesville saw swimmers have success in competition at Bloomsburg.
In the girls 50 free, Hughesville’s Sophie Yoder swam a time of 37.13. Luke Spierko swam a 28.74 in the boys 50 free race.
In the girls 100 fly, Hughesville’s Ashlynn Barlett had a great swim, finishing in 1:06.07, which would have been good enough for a second-place finish. Barlett swam a split of 30.46 to start the race, just 0.04 seconds behind Danville’s Izzy Marks, who won in 1:05.03. Yoder also swam in the race, finishing in 1:43.72. Spierko finished in 1:03.94 in the 100 free race.
Barlett also swam a time of 1:17.93 in the 100 breast, which would have been good enough for second place as Bloomsburg standout Lucy Diehl won in 1:15.45.
