Kegler’s Korner: Furman and Edkins both receive Bowler of the Week honors
This week’s Bowler of the Week honors go to Rod Furman and Alicia Edkins. In the Faxon Classic League, Furman used the tenth 300 game of his career to fashion an 833 series. Edkin shot a 722 series in the Monday Night Classic League, including a 276 first game, the top female game of the week. That was Alicia’s fifth 700 series so far this season.
Of special note: posting the best game last week in the 10+6 Ladies League, Crystal Koons bowled 95 pins over her average with a 241.

The start of the 2025 USBC National Championship Tournaments are just around the corner. The Open Tournament starts March 1 and runs through July 28 in Baton Rouge. The Women’s Tournament runs from April 26-July 5 in Las Vegas.
Any card-carrying USBC member can participate in these tournaments, with entry blanks being available online at bowl.com. You can also go to bowlpa.com to enter the 2025 state women’s tournament hosted by the Harrisburg association starting April 12 and/or the state open tournament starting April 5.
