Competition was intense last week as Mike Pepperman captured male Bowler of the Week honors by rolling an 858 series in the Intercommunity League to edge out Erik Springer’s 856 in the Monday Night Classic League. Female Bowler of the Week was Karla Anderson, who, after reaching a 730 series in the intercommunity on the strength of the first 300 game of her career, out did herself with a 734 in the Thursday Night Bowing League.

Also posting 800 series were Shawn Pepperman with an 821 in the Saturday Night Moonlighters League and Dave Gregory with an 801 in the Thursday Night Bowling League, while Danielle Barlet reached 702 in the 10+6 Ladies League.

In the Monday Night Classic, Leroy Starr Jr tossed the first perfect game of his career, which was matched by Pepperman in his top series, as well as by Nick Wilcox in the Faxon Classic, and John Heck in the intercommunity, who could have had two if he could have gotten that last pin to fall in his 299 game in the Three-Man Major League.

Meanwhile, the Robinson sisters were having their own dual, as Ashlyn topped Brynn’s 670 with a 706 series in the Harvest Moon Youth League, but Brynn posted a 298, the best youth game for the week. Youth bowler Connor Anthony also reached the 700 mark, with a 709 in the Faxon Youth Seniors League. Great personal performances congratulations go to Eoghan Rhoads who bowled more than 100 pins above his average with his 260 game in the Harvest Moon Youth League, and Karin Colucci, whose 190 game in the Noxaf League was more than 90 pins above her average.

Saturday squads kick off at 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., while Sunday has one squad at 1 p.m. Entry blanks are available at the lanes or enter as you walk in the door.
