Williamsport competed in a dual meet against Danville in high school swimming on Thursday and saw success as the boys tied the Ironmen, 76-76, while the Williamsport girls narrowly fell to Danville, 93-92.

Brady Ross, Kiley Persun, Kendall Cohick and Evan Summers all ended the day with two first-place finishes for the Millionaires.

Ross of Williamsport won the 50 free with a time of 23.19, beating out teammate Nathaniel DePrenda, who swam a 26.05 for second. Ross would also win the 100 free in 50.48, winning the event by six seconds over Danville’s Samuel Madara (56.52).

Persun swam a time of 5:51.54 to win the 500 free competition by roughly six seconds over Danville’s Zoe Czech. Persun also won the 200 IM in 2:31.04.

Cohick claimed a victory in the 50 free in 26.70 and secured a win in the 100 back with a time of 1:03.29. She won the event by roughly six seconds over Danville’s Anna Hummel.

Evan Summers swam a time of 1:57.67 to claim a victory in the 200 free and won the 100 breast in 59.65.

Williamsport’s Nathaniel DePrenda won the 500 free in 5:39.03.

Williamsport also had Cooper Allmaras win the 100 back in 57.66. He was the only swimmer to break a minute.

Clover Lindsay won the girls 1-meter diving competition while teammate Allie Eberhart finished second. In the 100 free, Williamsport’s Aviya Halstead won with a time of 59.98, the only swimmer to break a minute in the event as she beat Maya Hasenbalg of Danville (1:00.32).

Williamsport’s girls 400 free relay team won in 3:55.53 with Cohick, Halstead, Naomi Lee and Persun. The Williamsport boys 200 medley relay team won in 1:47.44, shaving 10 seconds off their time, with the foursome of Allmaras, Evan Weaver, Summers and Ross.

The Millionaires girls 200 free relay team of Cohick, Lee, Persun and Halstead won in 1:47.03, shaving off time as well.
