NP-Liberty boys fall in first round of PIAA Class A basketball tournament
A four-point second quarter hurt North Penn-Liberty as the Mounties fell to Lancaster Country Day on Friday in the PIAA Class A playoffs, 57-46. Liberty trailed 29-14 at the half and couldn’t quite claw back enough in the second half.
Cam Harris led Lancaster Country Day with 22 points while Chris Dukes added 18. Lancaster Country Day also saw Jordan Ashby score 12. North Penn-Liberty had a pair of double-digit scorers in Blake Oakley (16) and Evan McTish (12).
Oakley had a monster game off the glass, grabbing 14 rebounds while dishing out a team-high five assists. McTish also had a double-double as he had 12 rebounds.
The loss ends Liberty’s season with an 18-9 record while Lancaster Country Day moves to 16-9 and advances to play Phil-Mont Christian.
