Lycoming’s Shelly earns Academic All-District honors in field hockey
Lycoming College sophomore forward Loghan Shelly was honored as part of the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women’s At-Large Team for the field hockey team.
As a sophomore forward, Shelly started 16 of 17 games. She secured goals against Drew and Keuka and posted assists in games against Lancaster Bible College and Houghton.
The 2025 Academic All-District Women’s At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. In field hockey, eligible student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, carry at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and have competed in 90% of the team’s total games played OR have started 66% of the team’s total games.
The Warriors won a program-record eight games in the 2024 season, which was the third year since Lycoming’s field hockey program was reinstated after a 30-year absence, under head coach Allyson Kenyon. The team fell one win shy of the six Landmark Conference Championship spots, finishing 8-9 overall and 3-6 in the Landmark Conference.
