Mansfield field hockey has five earn CSC All-District
MANSFIELD — The Mansfield Mountaineer field hockey program had five student-athletes named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large Team.
Melanie Esh , Katie Marchiani, Leah Toskey, Kaylie Ranere and Kenedy Stroup represented the Mounties on the list. Stroup has been advanced to the All-American ballot to be voted on in July.
The CSC Academic All-District At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Esh started all 19 games, where she scored two goals and two assists, while playing in 1096 minutes.
Marchiani appeared in 19 games with a goal on the year. Toskey started in 18 of 19 games she appeared in, where she scored two goals and had two assists. Ranere appeared in 19 games as a midfielder. Stroup started all 19 games, she had three goals and three assists on the year. Stroup earned All-American and All- PSAC honors.
To be eligible an undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. For the sport of field hockey, Eligible nominees must compete in 90% of the institution’s games played OR must start in at least 66% of the institution’s games.
