Mansfield field hockey releases its 2025 schedule
MANSFIELD — The Mansfield Mountaineer field hockey program has announced their 2025 schedule, featuring nine Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference games and their annual opening tournament hosted on Karl Van Norman Field.
Under coach Brittany Hansrote, the season opener will double as Mansfield’s 2025 Fall Classic Tournament, with the Mounties hosting Kutztown, Saint Michael’s College, and Southern Connecticut State University. The red and black will start their campaign with Saint Michael’s College on September 6 and finishing the weekend with SCSU on September 7.
To finish out non-conference play to start the year, the Mountaineers will host two contests, one neutral site clash, and their only road trip before PSAC action. East Stroudsburg (Sept. 10) and Frostburg State University (Sept. 13) highlight the home games, the neutral site opponent will be Newberry College on September 19, and the team rounds out the non-conference schedule to start the season versus West Chester on September 24.
Homecoming weekend will take place on the weekend of September 27 when Mansfield faces Kutztown for the PSAC schedule opener.
October will put the team to the test, consisting of nine games, seven conference contests, and six road trips. After two road conference battles at Bloomsburg (Oct. 1) and at Frostburg State (Oct. 4), the Mounties host D’Youville on October 8 for the first home contest of the month.
With two more PSAC contests, at Millersville (Oct. 11) and versus IUP (Oct. 15), to follow, the Mountaineers’ Pink Out takes place on October 18 versus West Chester.
Rounding out the month, the red and black finish their road trips at East Stroudsburg (Oct. 22), at Shippensburg (Oct. 25), and their final nonconference battle of the year at Roberts Wesleyan University on October 28.
