Robert ‘Bob’ G. Robison

Robert “Bob” G. Robison, 80, of Jersey Shore, passed away at Jersey Shore Hospital, Friday, Oct. 11, 2019. He was born, April 6, 1939, in Reading, the son of the late Arthur and Ruth (Jacobus) Robison. Bob was married to Mary S. (Herritt) Robison for 46 years until she passed away Jan. 28, 2009.

Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church. He was a well-known, self-employed painting contractor in the Jersey Shore area, being the owner of Robison & Sons Painting for over 50 years. He was an active community member serving as past president of the Jersey Shore Lions Club, a member of the Jersey Shore Citizens Hose Company and a member of the Jersey Shore school police for many years. He enjoyed traveling, going to the cabin and listening to country music. He liked his beer and loved spending time with his family.

Bob is survived by his five children, a son, Joseph C. Robison, of Jersey Shore, four daughters, Terry M. Packard (Thomas), of Jersey Shore, Tobey M. Robison, of Jersey Shore, Lucinda M. Robison, of Lock Haven, and Tina M. Robison-Coberly (Jeffery), of Jersey Shore; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and his brother, Arthur Robison, of Wilkes Barre. Also surviving Bob is his loving companion of the last several years, Carol Welshans, of Jersey Shore. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Bob to the Jersey Shore Lions Club, 5405 N. Route 44, Jersey Shore, PA 17740.

There will be a public visitation, Thursday, Oct. 17, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore. Funeral services will be at the funeral home, Friday, Oct. 18, at noon. Burial will follow at Jersey Shore Cemetery.
