Jean E. Gordner

Jean E. Gordner, 83, of Turbotville, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020.

Born June 21, 1936, in Muncy, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Maybelle (Brown) Myers. On May 23, 1957, she married Gilbert E. Gordner and they have celebrated 62 years of marriage.

She retired from Montgomery Mills and was a member of Delaware Run Wesleyan Church, Watsontown.

Jean enjoyed flowers and quilting, watching soccer, wrestling, field hockey and dirt-track races, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving, besides her husband, are a son, LaRue “Mike” Gordner and his wife, Marlene, of Watsontown; a daughter, Susan K. Wertman and her husband, Daniel, of Muncy; five grandchildren, Danny and Heith Wertman and Michelle, Eric and Wayne Gordner; 12 great-grandchildren, Cody, Emily, Michael, and Peyton Wertman; Tori, Brianna, Weston, Braxton, Dalton and Brie Gordner, and Katie and Justin Derr; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Naomi Gordner and Sandy Moser, both of Hughesville; Beatrice Snyder, Elsie Guyer and Velma Flick, all of Watsontown.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond and Sam Gordner; two grandchildren, Ann Derr and Jonathan Gordner; four brothers, Lewis, Glenn, Emery and Kenneth Myers; and a sister, Irma Robbins.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, Feb. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc., PC, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, where a funeral service will be held at noon with the Rev. Michael C. Reece, her pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
