Lycoming County two new COVID-19 cases

HARRISBURG -The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., June 29, that there are 492 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 85,988. All 67 counties in Pennsylvania have cases of COVID-19.

Lycoming County has had 179 positive cases to date, Clinton 77 cases, Sullivan five cases and Tioga 25 cases.

There are 6,614 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 8 new deaths.

There are 666,901 patients who have tested negative to date statewide. Lycoming County has had 3,978 test negative to date.

The department of health reports the statewide recovery rate today as 78 percent. Individuals who have recovered is determined using a calculation, similar to what is being done by several other states. If a case has not been reported as a death, and it is more than 30 days past the date of their first positive test (or onset of symptoms) then an individual is considered recovered.
