Part of Broad Street closed in Montoursville due to cracked pavement
Montoursville motorists are urged to use caution in the 400 block of Broad Street Monday night after a small section of the road cracked and heaved upward.
Whether it was due to a water main break or just the heat was unknown at press time, borough Deputy Police Chief Jason Bentley told a reporter at the scene.
A crew of the state Department of Transportation, which is responsible for the road, was en route to inspect the problem and possibly dig up the pavement.
The road was closed from Montour Street to Washington Street in both directions.
