Lycoming County 3 new COVID-19 cases

Clinton and Tioga counties both see one new case

HARRISBURG-The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., September 14, that there were 638 additional positive cases of COVID-19 on September 13 and 620 additional positive cases of COVID-19 on September 14, bringing the statewide total to 145,063.

Philadelphia cases are not included in today’s statewide total because of reporting delays by Philadelphia County. Two-day totals for Philadelphia County will be included in tomorrow’s data release.

The percentage of recovered cases today is 82 percent. Individuals who have recovered is determined using a calculation, similar to what is being done by several other states. If a case has not been reported as a death, and it is more than 30 days past the date of their first positive test (or onset of symptoms) then an individual is considered recovered.

The state DOH said in an email that a person being retested does not count as a new case, “If someone tests positive, and then has later positive tests, they are only counted as that one positive case.”

Lycoming County has had 588 positive cases to date, (552 confirmed and 36 probable), three new today; Clinton 170 (153 confirmed and 17 probable) one new today; Sullivan ten cases (five confirmed and five probable) and Tioga 52 cases, one new today (43 confirmed and 9 probable).
