Lycoming County 4 new COVID-19 cases

Clinton County sees 3 new cases

HARRISBURG- The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., September 10, that there are 587 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 141,877.

The percentage of recovered cases today is 82 percent. Individuals who have recovered is determined using a calculation, similar to what is being done by several other states. If a case has not been reported as a death, and it is more than 30 days past the date of their first positive test (or onset of symptoms) then an individual is considered recovered.

The state DOH said in an email that a person being retested does not count as a new case, “If someone tests positive, and then has later positive tests, they are only counted as that one positive case.”

Lycoming County has had 572 positive cases to date, (537 confirmed and 35 probable), four new today; Clinton 165 (148 confirmed and 17 probable) three new today; Sullivan ten cases (five confirmed and five probable) and Tioga 50 cases (41 confirmed and 9 probable).

Lycoming County has seven hospitalized COVID-19 patients, none are on a ventilator. Montour County has nine patients, none are on a ventilator.

The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between September 3 and September 9 is 144,379 with 5,679 positive cases. There were 20,979 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., September 9. These results represent the total number of tests administered.

There are 7,820 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 15 new deaths reported.

There are 84 cases who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases and 646 patients who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure.

In nursing and personal care homes, there are 21,644 resident cases of COVID-19, and 4,702 cases among employees, for a total of 26,346 at 946 distinct facilities in 61 counties. Out of our total deaths, 5,280 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities.
