Lycoming County 7 new COVID-19 cases

Tioga County sees 7 new cases, Clinton 2

HARRISBURG-The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., October 17, that there were 1,857 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 180,943. All 67 counties in Pennsylvania have cases of COVID-19.

There are 8,466 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 9 new deaths reported.

The percentage of recovered cases today is 80 percent. Individuals who have recovered is determined using a calculation, similar to what is being done by several other states. If a case has not been reported as a death, and it is more than 30 days past the date of their first positive test (or onset of symptoms) then an individual is considered recovered.

Lycoming County has had 873 positive cases to date, (825 confirmed and 48 probable), 7 new today; Clinton 237 (209 confirmed and 28 probable) 2 new today; Sullivan 15 cases (10 confirmed and 5 probable) none new today and Tioga 140 cases, 117 confirmed and 23 probable) 7 new today

100 Lycoming County residents tested negative in the last 24 hours.

Lycoming County has 11 hospitalized COVID-19 patients, 1 is on a ventilator. Montour County has 22 patients, 9 are on a ventilator.
