Lycoming County 32 new COVID-19 cases, 5,488 additional cases statewide

Tioga County sees 22 new cases, Clinton 14, Sullivan 3

HARRISBURG-The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., November 12, that there were 5,488 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 248,856. This is the highest daily increase of cases.

The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between November 5 and November 11 is 331,492 with 25,702 positive cases. There were 50,997 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., November 11. This is a record high number of PCR test results reported to the department.

As of 11:59 p.m., Wednesday November 11, there were 49 new deaths reported for a total of 9,194 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

The percentage of recovered cases today is 71 percent. Individuals who have recovered is determined using a calculation, similar to what is being done by several other states. If a case has not been reported as a death, and it is more than 30 days past the date of their first positive test (or onset of symptoms) then an individual is considered recovered.

Lycoming County has had 1205 positive cases to date, (1119 confirmed and 86 probable), 32 new today; Clinton 363 (314 confirmed and 49 probable) 14 new today; Sullivan 27 cases (22 confirmed and 5 probable) 3 new today and Tioga 428 cases, (376 confirmed and 52 probable), 22 new today.

Lycoming County has 21 hospitalized COVID-19 patients, 2 are on ventilators; Montour County 47 patients with 6 on ventilators.
