Lycoming County 98 new COVID-19 cases

Clinton County sees 54 new cases, Tioga 23, Sullivan 2

HARRISBURG-The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed today, December 6, that there were 8,630 new cases COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 420,114.

There were 39 new deaths reported for a total of 11,331 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

Lycoming County has had 2,849 cases (2,632 confirmed and 217 probable) 98 new today. Sullivan County has had 83 cases (67 confirmed and 16 probable) 2 new today. Clinton County has had 944 cases (833 confirmed and 111 probable) 54 new today and Tioga County has had 1,208 cases (1,109 confirmed and 99 probable) 23 new today.

108 Lycoming County residents have tested negative in the last 24 hours.

Lycoming County has 70 COVID-19 patients hospitalized, 13 in the ICU, with 7 on ventilators and 4 available Adult ICU beds. Tioga County has 13 COVID-19 patients hospitalized, 5 in the adult ICU and 2 on ventilators and no Adult ICU beds available. Montour County has 93 patients 24 in the ICU, with 11 on ventilators and 27 Adult ICU beds available, according to the state’s data released today at noon.

“The bottom line is that we are entering a critical juncture,” Dr. Jaewon Ryu, Geisinger CEO and president, said in a press briefing on Friday afternoon. “The leading indicators are at a significant point of rising. We can stem this tide. It is going to require all of us to work together. We have to remember to mask and avoid gatherings.”
