A woman has been arraigned on charges related to a stabbing at 9:40 p.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of Franklin Street.

Williamsport police initially responded to the stabbing where they found a victim, whose gender remained unidentified, with a stab wound to either the back or possibly the right side of the neck. The victim was found on the house front porch and was having difficulty breathing.

About 20 minutes later, police responded to a vehicle accident scene at the 900 block of Railway Street near the area of Youngs Woods Park.

A woman driver of the vehicle involved in the crash was taken into custody at gunpoint and believed to have been under the influence of either alcohol or drugs.

The woman was arraigned before District Judge Christian Frey who was on call, said an official with District Judge Aaron Biichle Friday morning.
