Two hurt in Salladasburg crash

SALLADASBURG – Motorists on Route 287 are urged to use caution in the area of the Salladasburg Elementary School following a two-vehicle crash at Route 973 about 12:20 p.m. Saturday that sent both drivers to the hospital, state police confirmed.

A passenger car and a pickup truck pulling a storage trailer collided, police said.

The woman driving the car and a man driving the truck were taken to UPMC Williamport by ambulances.

In the first photo, you can see Old Lycoming Township ambulance arriving at the scene to transport the man. Jersey Shore EMS took the woman to the hospital.

Contrary to initial reports, there was no fire and no entrapment, a fire officer at the scene confirmed.
