Warrior Run Students of the Month
Warrior Run High School selects seniors each month to honor as Students of the Month each month of the academic year. For the month of May Jayla E. Felix, outstanding senior; Brandon E. Emmert, Turbotville Lions Club Student of the Month; and Aliyah M. Wagner, Watsontown Lions Club Student of the Month have been selected to be celebrated.
Jayla E. Felix, the daughter of Jake and Jessica Felix, has been selected as May’s outstanding senior. She is a member of student council, National Honor Society, ACE Program, North Union United Soccer Club and the Eastern Lycoming YMCA swim team. She has achieved distinguished honor roll, her lifeguard and CPR certification, district and state qualifier for YMCA swimming and a district qualifier for the swim team. Outside of the classroom, she volunteers with Healthy Kids Running Series and Special Education Field Day, has participated in canned food drives, helped at the concession stand, donated Christmas gifts and has helped sand and paint a local church pavilion. She is a member of Rock Youth Group, Paxtonville United Methodist Church and goes to Community Mennonite Fellowship. She is currently employed as a lifeguard. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking and working out. In the future, she plans to attend Lebanon Valley College for pre-physician assistant studies to become a physician assistant.
Brandon E. Emmert, the son of Troy and Beverly Emmert, has been selected as May’s Turbotville Lions Club Student of the Month. He has achieved both distinguished honor roll and honor roll throughout school and has been the captain of the soccer team during his senior year. He is currently self-employed with Silver Hosting Network, LLC and hopes to continue running the company in the future. He enjoys building computers and working on Subarus in his free time. He plans to look at getting a career with a local IT company.
Aliyah M. Wagner, the daughter of Brad Wagner and Kristen Snader, has been selected as May’s Watsontown Lions Club Student of the Month. She is a member of student council and the school’s choir. She has achieved distinguished honor roll, honor roll and employee of the month. She is currently employed at Bonanza Steakhouse and is a babysitter in her community. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends. In the future, she plans to attend University of Pittsburgh for pre-physician assistant studies to become a physician assistant.
