A resident identified as the occupant watched from across the street

“What are you going to do?” he said.

The man had been out to dinner nearby with his girlfriend, according to a neighbor.

Despite wind gusts of 20 mph, officials used care moving away several lawn ornaments out front while others sprayed down the structure to prevent flames from spreading.

Other firefighters used hand-held apparatus to yank off the siding to expose the wood frame.

The fire drew dozens of neighbors in the mobile home park, many using their smart phones to take photos and video.

Numerous fire departments were called to the fire, including Muncy Area Volunteer Fire Co. and Chief Scott Delany.

A state police fire marshal was on scene with myriad engine, tanker and ladder trucks battling the blaze. PPL also attended the scene.

The fire was knocked down about 5:20 p.m.
