Hughesville area man faces a new set of felony sex charges involving minors
Charged earlier this year with four counts each of unlawful contact with minors and indecent assault as well as related offenses, Austin McKeon, 20, faces a new set of charges after state troopers discovered inappropriate videos on his cellphone, which had been seized in late May due to the first investigation, according to court papers filed at the office of District Judge Kirsten Gardner.
After obtaining a search warrant that would allow them to examine the contents of McKeon’s cellphone, troopers found two videos that McKeon allegedly recorded in July 2023 that showed him and a female minor engaged in sexual acts, it stated in an affidavit. Police also later learned that McKeon, formerly of the 200 block of South Main Street, Hughesville, showed the inappropriate videos to several juveniles, it was alleged in an affidavit. In the new criminal complaint, McKeon, now living on the 12000 block of Route 220, Hughesville, faces additional felony charges of videorecording or photographing sexual acts with a minor, illegal dissemination of material involving sexual acts with a minor, sexual abuse of child and possession of child pornography. He is free on $50,000 in this case. He was held for court last week on all charges
