MUNCY – Multiple fire companies were battling an extra-alarm blaze Saturday night that engulfed a home on Waymol Lane in Muncy Creek Township.

It was unknown if anyone was in the structure when the fire was reported about 8:15 p.m.

However, fire officer said there were no reports of injuries.

Waymol Lane is a small dead-end road just west of Muncy Exchange and Glade Run roads.

Multiple tankers were needed in order to get adequate water to the scene. Water was being drafted from a pond in the 100 block of Muncy Exchange Road.

First-arriving firefighters reported the home was engulfed in flames.

Besides Muncy Area, volunteer firefighters from Hughesville, Picture Rocks, Montoursville, Lairdsville, Pennsdale and Warrior Run Area were among the companies dispatched to the scene.

The fire was declared under control about 9:45 p.m.
