Flames engulf shed in Clinton Township
Flames engulfed an old abandoned shed at the rear of 826 Pinchtown Road in Clinton Township shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday. The property owner said the shed was being dismantled into “small pieces that were tossed onto a burn pile about 20 feet from the structure,” township Assistant Fire Chief Joseph Winters said. “The wind shifted and caught the whole shed on fire,” Winters said. Some brush and woods also caught fire, he added. About 5,000 gallons of water were used to douse the fire.
