None injured in tractor-trailer accident

A New Jersey truck driver escaped injury when this tractor-trailer, loaded with 53,000 pounds of lumber, overturned where Market Street merges with Route 15 South in South Williamsport about 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, according to borough police. Marvin Tillman managed to climb out of his cab on his own, police said. At first, southbound motorists were able to travel around the crash using one lane. However, all traffic was detoured off Market Street, onto to Seventh Street and then onto Main Street about 10:10 a.m. as employees from a towing company worked to clear the wreckage. The crash was cleaned up just before noon.
