A Montoursville Area High School student was injured when he was struck by a pickup truck that was driven by another high school student near the school at Mulberry and Bennett streets about 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, borough police said.

The injured student was taken by ambulance to the UPMC Susquehanna Williamport Regional Medical Center, police said.

The student was hit while walking in the crosswalk, but the driver, heading east on Mulberry Street, was blinded by the sun’s glare, police said. The students’ identities were not released.
