TROUT RUN -- State police and the Lycoming County Coroner's Office are investigating a possible drowning of a woman in her 50s who was found dead late Thursday afternoon in her family's pool on Route 14, about four miles north of here, County Coroner Charles E. Kiessling Jr. confirmed.
A deputy county coroner was dispatched to the scene about 5:40 p.m.
Police and emergency medical technicians were initially dispatched to the home after a relative discovered the victim's body in the pool.
The cause of death remains under investigation, Kiessling said, adding that more information may be released next week. The woman's name was not released Thursday night.
