16 charged with various crimes
Sixteen people have been charged with various criminal offenses, according to court records. Those charged and the law enforcement agencies involved were:
• Margaret Audet, 65, of 813 Krouse Ave.; Old Lycoming Township police; misdemeanor shoplifting after she was caught allegedly trying to steal $5 worth of merchandise from the Weis Market, 1916 Lycoming Creek Road, on July 30; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
• Malik Brown, 27, of 665 Cemetery St.; the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit; possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine and related offenses for his alleged involvement in three drugs sales in the city that occurred at Lycoming and Center streets on June 20; Ninth Avenue and Isabella Court on June 27 and in the 1100 block of Isabella Street on Aug. 7; the enforcement unit has also charged him with possession with intent to deliver 25 bags of heroin and related offenses at an undisclosed location in the city on May 29; jailed in lieu of a total of $325,000 bail.
• Tyler Bean, 21, of Milton; Montoursville police; possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 1000 block of North Loyalsock Avenue on July 25; jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail.
• John Reed Jr., 31, of 338 East Southern Ave., South Williamsport; South Williamsport police; illegal possession of a firearm for allegedly failing to turn a handgun when he was served a protection from abuse at his home on June 18.; jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail (state law requires one to relinquish all handguns upon being served a protection from abuse order).
• Kelsey Hoffman, 24, of 639 Lloyd St.; state police; DUI and careless driving on Route 15 at the Foy Avenue interchange in Old Lycoming Township on June 9; his blood-alcohol content level was .12; he has been sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
• Michael Eck, 35, of 2603 Waldman Drive; state police; DUI and careless driving on Westminster Drive in Loyalsock Township on May 26; his blood-alcohol content level was .20; released on $5,000.
• Cheryl Bates, 54, of 951 Harvey Road; state police; DUI and careless driving at Warren Avenue and Four Mile Drive on May 25; her blood-alcohol content level was .12; released on $5,000 bail.
• Bruce Ellison, 53, of 437 Cherry St., Montoursville; Montoursville police; DUI in the 700 block of Mulberry Street on May 24; his blood-alcohol content level was .12; released on $5,000 bail.
• David Smith, 56, of 1400 Oakes Ave.; state police; misdmeanor shoplifting for allegedly stealing $8 worth of merchandise from Fine Wine and Good Spirits, 1939 E. Third St., on May 14; released on $5,000 bail.
• Curtis Hoover, 28, of Wellsboro; Old Lycoming Township police; DUI of fentany and possession of drug paraphernalia following a crash on Route 15 on May 11; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
• David Miller, 55, of 3542 Dewey Avenue Extension, Cogan Station; city police; DUI at High and Maple streets on May 2; he refused to provide a blood sample; released on $5,000 bail.
• Michael Gonzalez, 31, of, 2518 Grand St.; Montoursville police; DUI of marijuana in the 1000 block of North Loyalsock Avenue on April 26; released on $5,000 bail.
• Megan Kiriakoy, 31, of 170 Front St., Linden; Montoursville police; felony shoplifting for allegedly stealing merchandise (value not listed in court records) from the Dollar General, 731 N. Loyalsock Ave., on April 25; released on $10,000 bail.
• Darvay Harris, 26, of 2565 Highland Ave., DuBoistown; city police; misdemeanor shoplifting and receiving stolen property after he was caught allegedly trying to steal $4 worth of merchandise at Wegmans on March 29; released on $5,000 bail.
• Dustin Kope, 26, of Dillsburg; state police; DUI of marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving on Route 15 in Lycoming Township on March 24; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
• David Wright, 37, of 1308 Route 973 West, Cogan Station; state police; criminal mischief and harassment for allegedly punching several times a person identified in court papers only as K. Fish, breaking Fish’s prescription glasses in the 1800 block of East Third Street on March 22; released on $5,000 bail.
