Ecumenical luncheon

United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. On Wednesday, Tammey Aichner, United Campus Ministry coordinator for United Churches, will continue the Lenten Series “God’s Presence In You” by focusing on the theme “For it Is in Giving That We Receive and in Dying That We Are Born.” Luncheons include the serving of a catered $6 lunch beginning at 11:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Free parking is available until 1:30 p.m. in the lot north of the church. Although reservations are not needed, those not regular attendees should call United Churches at 570-322-1110 to help the caterer know how to prepare.

Devotion Line

The United Churches telephone devotion line is available 24 hours a day by calling 570-322-5762. The devotionalist next week will be Tammey Aichner, who attends the First Church of Christ Disciples.
